  Did/Does God really love people?

  at john 3:16 god says he loved the world so much that he gave his only begotten son, that whosoever believed in him will have everlasting life.

  yet in revelation satan and the demons were kicked out of heaven and hurled to the earth.

  how is that loving, what could possibly be the reason he would do that if he really loved us.

  Satan & the demons are only sent down here temporarily. But I see your point. Why doesn't Jehovah just abyss them straight away? So that the remnant are finally tested thoroughly. Of course the Society says that the test happen around 1914-1919 and they passed with flying colours! Muppets.

  I doubt it very much, at least not in the foreseeable future. But what are your thoughts? Could you ever see it happening and under what circumstances & when? The only way I could see it happening is if the Society keeps getting majorly hauled through the mud in the media, perhaps through some really shocking future scandal and escalation of the paedophile & blood issues, and the GB simply refuses to budge on their interpretations.

  Does the potential exist for a legal coup because the legal powers and leadership powers of the senior men at WBTS were separated a few years ago?

  i am getting away for a moment from congacs forum to talk about what i have reaserched about the blood topic.. blood is composed of a liquid called blood plasma and blood cells suspended within the plasma.

  the blood cells present in blood are red blood cells, white blood cells, and platelets.plasma is predominantly water containing dissolved proteins, salts and many other substances; and makes up about 55% of blood by volume.

  by far the most abundant cells in blood are red blood cells.

  I don't believe the organisation is reformable. It is too ossified to ever really change now. It's old wineskins and if any new wine comes along it bursts out. All that may happen in decades to come is the org splits, with the loyal Watchtowerites remaining in servitude to their Watchtower/GB idol, and the rest going away and forming a new group, which will be much smaller & weaker.

  How many apostates are in the governing body?

  if the elders ask a publisher if he thinks the society should change the blood policy or any policy and he admits that he thinks that something should be changed, then he can be disfellowshipped for apostasy.

  however, it appears that the governing body periodically votes on proposed policy changes and a 2/3 majority is needed to make a change.

  this means that governing body members often openly admit that they disagree with some official policies.

  What a brilliant thought DT! I never quite thought of it like that but you make a very simple but profound point: If the GB can be disunited on some teaching or policy, then why can't the rank & file? Why should the GB get special treatment when they admit that the anointed do not have any more holy spirit or spiritual insight than many members of the great crowd!!!! This is undoubtedly why the GB are so secretive about their decision making processes.

  Can raising a child JW contribute to later psychiatric disorders?

  i read about the high incidents of mental illness and psychiatric disorders among jehovah's witnesses and it .

  started me thinking about why this is and how so.

  then i made this list and realized how much a child's psyche.

  Man where do you start with this subject...

  Most certainly yes. They are indoctrinated with an unhealthy, warped view of 'worldly' kids from a bad age and are taught to avoid worldlies rather than interact normally with them, hence many JW's end up with introverted, smug, avoidant personalities...I've seen many.

  I think it is potentially damaging for JW kids to have to decline birthdays, xmas, easter, bumping into school friends in the door to door work (used to be my worst nightmare), etc. This makes the other kids view them as weird and so the avoidant tendencies are reciprocated and reinforced and the JW child shrinks even more into introversion and avoidant tendencies. Their self-esteem is harmed.

  if babylon the great is the false religion, why does someone in heaven call them "my people"?

  does this mean that god has followers in other religions?

  or maybe babylon the great is not what the jw's think it is.. .

  Hypocricy and Two Most Dangerous Expressions

  nothing is more duplicitous than two expressions taught by their religious masters and used by dubs when all of their arguments have been demolished.. the first expression is "wait on jehovah.

  " the second is "they're just imperfect men.

  the first expression is used whenever lives are trashed by gb decisions and elder decisions and it is used when dub leaders are forced to admit that doctrinal garbage and ecclesiastical decisions are undeniably wrong.
